CHAMPION GENETICS-BEAUTIFUL COLORS-FABULOUS FLEECE-EXCELLENT CONFORMATION
Meet the Huacaya herd sires of Knapp's Island Alpacas.  We have a very diverse herd of top quality males for your breeding program.  They all have excellent genetics with show quality and characteristics every breeder is looking for.  They have proven themselves by producing some impressive offspring.

BLUE STERLING
Color:  Light Silver Silver Grey/White
DOB:  13 February 1997
Sire:    Silver Del Sol Codi   Dam:  Silver Queen

Blue Sterling is the total package.  He is stunning in every way, with his dense fleece, remarkable stature, and perfect conformation.   His color is very rare, with only two known with his blue tint.   Blue Sterling sired 5 males before finally giving us a female. But his 5 male offspring were certainly not disappointments.  The 1st of his offspring was Hawki, a medium silver grey who is an awe-inspiring male.  Blue produced two more silver grey males and two true black.  Each one has excellent conformation and bone structure similar to Blue, with plenty of great qualities.  We were very pleased with the quality of males Blue produced, however; it was time for a female.  And number 6 was a charm because she finally arrived.  They say ‘good things’ come to those who wait, and it did, in the form of a silver grey girl.  Finally our female from Blue, and she was amazing.  We were infatuated with this little girl and grinning from ear to ear.  With the level of quality we’d seen in Blue’s male offspring we knew a female would really be something special, but she exceeded our expectations.  An absolutely gorgeous silver grey girl with adorable features; we aptly named her Angelica because we kept calling her an Angle.  Angelica’s features just continue to improve.  She has excellent conformation with soft dense fleece that is solid silver grey, with the exception of white on her legs and chest.  In addition to all that, she has a very sweet disposition and is very sociable.  Blue has certainly earned back some points with her.  His ability to produce top quality offspring, coupled with his rare color, make him an irresistible choice when selecting a herd sire.

HAWKI
Color:  Medium Silver Grey
DOB:
18 August 2000                                                                                      Sire:     Blue Sterling     Dam:  Vajayta

Hawki is a very impressive looking herd sire, with many great characteristics.  He has very dense fleece that blankets him in sharp silver grey straight down to his toes.  His fleece is also very soft with a good amount of crimp for silver grey.  Hawki has many very appealing traits, but what sets him apart is his gorgeous head.      As good as he looks in this photo, he looks even better in person.  Hawki has been to two shows: The 2000 AOBA National Conference, where he placed 1st and 2nd at the 2003 MI. Breeders Best Show and 2nd at the 2006 MI International Alpaca Fest.  Hawki has produced a dark brown male, with exceptional qualities.  This young male has great fleece density with exceptional coverage and he too has a nice head, with a short snout, like Hawki.  Hawki’s next offspring will arrive in the summer of 2007.

KIA PERUVIAN MAXIMUS
Color:  Medium Rose Grey
DOB:
22 December 2000                                                                           Sire:    Peruvian Silvino    Dam:  Vintage Rose

I think every Alpaca Owner has a favorite - and Maximus is my personal favorite.  He was the very first Alpaca that I took to a show and he was the most well mannered Alpaca in his class; he was a natural in the ring.  I was very proud to be showing Maximus and by his strong poise, he seemed quite proud of himself.     It was the Breeders Choice Futurity and he won a well-deserved 1st place.  He was the eye catcher of the show.  Several visitors to our ranch can’t help but notice Maximus.  He stands out in the herd.  Maximus has very dense fleece with full coverage from head to toe with flawless conformation.  He has a nice strong head, with big eyes, and beautiful markings. He has a strong bloodline with a very well known herd sire in his bloodlines, Matador (grandfather), who sold for $70,000 at a 2001 auction in Ohio.  His sire, Silvino, is also a well-known herd sire with offspring selling for $25,000 and over.  Maximus has sired several crias; males and females ranging from dark browns, true blacks to silver greys.  We are extremely pleased with the offspring that Maximus has added to our herd.

KIA PERUVIAN ALEXUS
Color:  Fawn
DOB:
17 July 2001                                                                                       Sire:    Peruvian Mr. President  Dam:  Peruvian Kings Katie

This outstanding son of Peruvian Accoyo Mr. President (sold for $155,000 at 2002 auction in Ohio) increases his value with every cria he produces. They all have exceptional characteristics; tightly crimped fleece with incredible density, full fleece coverage right down to the toes, nice full fleeced Accoyo faces and excellent conformation. Alexus has it all and his presence doesn’t go unnoticed by anyone who visits our ranch. We see him everyday, but still each time we look at him we are captivated by his elegance. Alexus has produced several offspring and almost all have the same nice Accoyo look of Alexus and many of his other great characteristics.  We are extremely proud to offer Alexus in our breeding program.

14 July 2002                                                                                      Sire:    Gentry Stiehl      Dam:  Peruvian Kins's Phoebe

Barrak is a very impressive looking male.  He stands out in a group of males and really captures your attention.  And as soon as you feel his fleece you cannot believe its density.  He has incredibly dense fleece with great leg coverage and excellent conformation.  Barrak won 1st place at his 1st show at the MIAF 2006 and the judge was equally impressed and had nothing buy high praises for Barrak.   Barrak is expecting his 1st offspring in the Summer of 2008.

GENTRY STIEHL
Color:  Black
DOB:
15 October 1998                                                                                   Sire:    Silver Bullet II       Dam:  Fancy Mink

This jet black male placed 1st in Magical Farms Futurity and 2nd in the AOBA Nationals.  He has presence and style, with a lineage of black and silver.  His sire, Silver Bullet II, is an extraordinary gray Chilean stud with exceptional color and presence. Silver served as Magical Farm's primary gray stud until 1999. He has over 50 crias on the ground to date. His crias exhibit vigorous and healthy starts, exceptionally friendly temperaments, strong conformation, a wide array of coloring, and nice fiber coverage, fineness and crimp. They tend to sell extremely well and are often farm favorites.  Stiehl has acquired many of Bullet's great qualities as a herd sire.  And those qualities are certainly evident in his offspring.  His first cria, Barrak, a dark brown male is showing a lot of promise, and his dark brown color has changed to black.  His 2nd cria, Morgan, who was also registered as dark brown, has also turned to black.  She has great conformation and lots of crimp.  His 3rd cria is a gorgeous looking medium brown male with excellent fleece coverage that exudes exceptional crimp.  If you’re looking to add some quality dark offspring to your herd, Stiehl is an excellent choice.
