Your Michigan Source for Alpacas

Knapp's Island Alpacas is located on the island of Grosse Ile in Michigan.  Our 5000 sq. ft. barn sits on 7 acres of property that is nicely shaded with trees.  Grosse Ile is located in the Downriver area, which is 20 miles south of Detroit. 

OUR LOCATION

Look for our sign on the east end of Groh Road on the south side of the road. We are located on the east end of the Grosse Ile Muncipal Airport.  The following picture is an aerial view. 

Light aircraft may land within walking distance of the farm and Enterprise Rental cars are available for visiting the downtown area or to drive around the very beautiful island of Grosse Ile.  The island has charming gift shops, two bars, and a couple of excellent restaurants.  There are also rooms available at the Pilot House, and it is a very nice place to stay on your visit.
